The ultimate Montblanc letter opener from the early to mid 2000s. The entire opener is made out of one piece of solid Black Resin, formed and polished to near perfection. The handle features a metal edge which is gold plated. The opener is heavy, exactly 80 grams and feels as a real solid tool in the hand as opposed to the smaller letter openers. It is beautifully curved, so it can stay either on its side or on its "back". It is very long at 24.4 centimeters, (almost 10 inches).
Pure work of art as only Montblanc can do, a stylish and timeless piece of desk accessories, beautiful decoration on any desk.
This letter opener comes in its original box, as it was sold. It is in near NOS condition, as it hasn't been used, but it has a small chip on the far back of the handle, shown on the last photo, caused by an accidental drop. It is not compromising nor visible when in use. In the early to mid 2000s these used to retail for $550.
