We receive hundreds of pens in our workshop every few months. From various reasons however, most of them do not see the day to be proudly listed on our website. We know a lot about pens; we know how they work, how to fix them, we know history of pens, and we also educate ourselves a lot. But nothing gets us going more than when we are caught off guard and some pen wonders and puzzles us too. This is when we get really excited!

We see most of the pens we sell as works of art. As you've probably noticed by now, we strive for our listings to have some of the most comprehensive descriptions out there. This is why the provenance and the history of the pens we list must be researched and understood to the best of our ability. Via those descriptions we hope to educate our customers too; the model, the manufacturer, why that pen and how it was made is so special viewed from its context in history. This is why we are also keeping our Sold Items section and database open. It is a treasure trove of information, we have hundreds of visitors daily on this page alone, where people can hopefully find their pen, identify it and learn much more about many pen models and manufacturers.

Recently we could not be more excited... we got few pens that took days upon days for us to dig into literature, online sources and consult our colleagues around the globe. We love to learn. In this process we also find some details about how pens were made, and what made them so special. But of course, with so many wondrous pens out there, so many manufactures, we don't always get it 100% right. So please feel free to let us know if there is something in the listing you think should be corrected or expanded upon, and we will gladly share that info.

We had the payment processor running so we could test the website, but couple of brave people unbeknownst to us, decided to give it a try and sales started coming in. So even though the website said "Under Construction", we had dozens of orders coming in. This was such an encouragement and motivation that kept us moving even harder.

It's been just a little bit over a year since you've heard from us. And what a year it had been! Expanding and growing, providing more items with better and faster service with faster turnaround, while still keeping and even improving on product quality and customer service, in our line of business is even harder than starting the business in the first place! Professional work on vintage fountain pens is not something you can learn in university. Thus finding the right people it's a trade on its own! But it was worth every second, we came over the tipping point much stronger! We moved into much better and larger offices (we've snapped out an entire awesome office space from an Architectural firm that left in a hurry) where we have everything we need and then some.
