The converter has a higher capacity than the newer standard converters, close to 1ml, exact measurements show 0.95ml. This exact type of converter was fitted in many European pens from the era, it was made in Germany, and is a better quality than many new converters found on the market today. It has a large deeply grooved turning knob, making it easy to grab and turn, and a well (factory) lubricated piston system with a very large spiral. This is a Standard International size converter, SI, and it will fit all pens using this standard, among which: Pelikan, Kaweco, Reform, Senator, Diplomat, Caran d'Ache, Rotring, many Montblanc pens, Montegrappa, and many other.
