1960s Pelikan 30 (R30) 1.18mm Mechanical Pencil

Offered here is a highest quality mechanical pencil, hard to match pencil both in style and endurance nowadays. The original model of the pencil is R30 or D30, even though often referred as only "30", as this is what is inscribed on the rolled gold upper body. These were sold separately, but more often in a set with the M30 /30 fountain pen and sometimes as a set of three pens comprising of the 30 FP, this R30/D30 MP and K30 Ballpoint, all made in the 1960s.
 
The pencil features a push "upper body" mechanism very precise with a nice and distinct "click" sounds when deploying the lead. It has a solid brass and metal mechanism, with a nice solid rolled gold upper body, which gives it a considerable weight and nice solid feel in the hand. It uses the widely accepted standard at the time, the 1.18mm lead refills. These thick refills can be deployed for 3-4mm in front of the tip, so it will provide good viewing space and better drawing/writing precision. The lead reservoir is easy to access simply by unscrewing the upper body. It can store 5-6 lead refill, and we will ship it with at least 3-4 lead sticks inside it. The pencil is very well balanced with perfect grip and ease of use. Timeless design, superior build quality as only Pelikan can make. The pencil is in mint near NOS condition, no scratches, dings or marks of any kind, ready to be used.
