Listed here is a Cross 8910-2 slim gel rollerball refill in beautiful blue color. The Cross company is one of the few that has proprietary refills for their writing instruments, which means that Cross pens can only be fitted with Cross refills.
This refill can be used with Cross Spire, Classic Century, and Click Classic Gel rollerball pens. The rollerball refills are always a great option providing for a smoother writing experience as they use special ink which is water-based and much more fluid than in the ballpoint pens which use an oil-based ink which is much thicker.
This refill uses archival ink and the difference between regular inks and this ink is that the archival ink is certified to be nearly chemically inert with the paper and fulfill many other requirements the regular inks don’t. Usually the archival inks are carbon based, and do not contain some chemicals the regular inks do. Therefore they are safe to be used on labels that shouldn’t fade, as well as for writing documents, or keeping records that also need to pass the test of time.
