Rare PELIKAN Ink Glass Bottle
This is one of the rare examples where we see Pelikan outsourcing a product to a different company, especially outside Germany, and maybe the only time they have licensed a product outside Germany. Besides their well documented collaboration with Merz & Krell based in Germany, who made the Pelikan 120 Type 2 and some other Pelikan models, we are not aware of Pelikan outsourcing any product outside Germany.
We had the joy and opportunity to find these bottles packed in a packs of 12, in an out of business office and supply store. Made in Istanbul Turkey by BÜROSAN as a licensed Pelikan product, this ink was very likely intended for the Middle East market, and maybe even some countries in Asia. We are not sure as this product is not documented online, so we cannot speculate. One thing is sure though, that this is an original Pelikan licensed product, as it clearly states on each bottle in Turkish:
"PELIKAN A.G. LISANSI ILE BÜROSAN SEFAKÖY/İST. DA YAPILMIŞTIR" which translated says: "MADE IN BÜROSAN SEFAKÖY/İST. WITH PELIKAN A.G. LICENSE.
And on the carton box:
"PELİKAN A.G. lisansı ile; Büro Sanayii A.Ş.; tarafından imal edilmiştir.", translated: "Manufactured by Büro Sanayii A.Ş. under the license of PELİKAN A.G."
These are very rare bottles with white cap, simply look dazzling on a desk, in contrast to the well known black and blue ink capped bottles.
All of these came full with ink, but partially dried out. Since there are shipping restrictions on liquids, we sell and ship these as bottles only, no ink inside, and despite the restriction, we would not recommend using a 30+ old ink in any fountain pen.
You receive an empty clean glass bottle in its original carton packaging as in the photos. You can use any fresh ink to fill in the bottle and use it as a display item or simply to fill your fountain pens.

Prior shipping our items have to pass our highest quality control inspection, are perfectly cleaned and tested by ProtoPens pen staff after which are carefully packed. If the pen does not come in its original manufacturers box, it is packed in a special ProtoPens case.
