Rotring Eraser Refill

Size of the eraser bar/stick: Diameter 6.5mm x Length 121mm

A very rare, no longer in production Rotring Tikky Eraser Refill. These refills were originally sold for a special Rotring Tikky Eraser Pen, where the whole eraser refill would fit inside the pen which was basically only an eraser pen, and would deploy by a push button. However these eraser refills found another more widely applicable use, that is they are very convenient to use in replacing the erasers on many vintage pencils. Simply by cutting them in length and placing them in the existing slot of any new or vintage pencil. The bars are 6.5mm in diameter, usually wider than what most new pencils use (3-5mm), however many older pencils used ~6mm diameter erasers. It is even possible to "shave" some of the thickness so they would fit in a desired diameter pencil slot. The bar is 121mm long, (4.76 inches), hence one bar could be used to fit 6-10 pencils depending on how long the slots are.

The eraser is German high quality made with no hard abrasives that will wear out the paper when erasing, only dirt-catching additives are used in order to ensure that the user’s media surface always remains nice and clean leaving no mess behind.
