Vodovzvodnaya Tower Pen Holder Base

Listed here is a rare desktop stand with a miniature statue of the famous Vodovzvodnaya Tower. The tower is located on the southwestern side of the fortified complex Kremlin in Moscow with a view of the Moskva River.
First, the tower was given the name (Свиблова башня) honoring a family called the Sviblov boyar, that had lived in a near house facing the tower from the side of the Kremlin's. Later in 1633, the tower was renamed Vodovzvodnaya which translates into “water-lifting” because of the water supplying machine that was installed in the tower. Hence the base features “Москва Кремль Водовзводная Башня'' engraving which translates to Moscow Kremlin Vodovzvodnaya Tower from Russian.
The base also features personal engraving with a name and “‘69” which is another proof that this a truly rare vintage base that will be a perfect addition to a collection of antique desktop items for passionate collectors.
On the side, the base features an engraving with “ц.8р” where “ц” stands for “цена” which translates for price in Russian meaning that this base was sold for 8 Russian rubles at the time.
The miniature figurine represents a realistic replica of the tower perfected to the last detail. The beautiful metal old gold shine together with the marble base will give appeal and will look great on any desk whether it is a private one or at an office.
