1950s Pelikan 400NN Clip - All models & colors
Offered here is an original Pelikan gold filled clip from the 1950's for all models of 400NN, that is the third iteration of the 400 model. These clips won't fit model 400 or 400N, only the 400NN.
These are what we call Class A- (A minus) clips, meaning fully functional, with no bends or other functional issues, however please expect some minor gold wear-off mainly on the edges where is most susceptible to friction from use. These are not in absolute mint/pristine condition cosmetically, but they will make your pen fully functional. Nonetheless, each clip will be thoroughly cleaned and polished prior shipping so it will look very close to new/original condition. These clips are sourced from original Pelikan 400NN pens from the 1950s and early 1960s, and are original part for all Pelikan 400NN in any colors, and they also work on 400NN submodels such as 500NN, 520NN, 600NN, 700NN in all variants.
These clips are secured via a locking/retaining ring (nut) on the top of the clip, screwing on to the cap. You will need to remove the ring, place the clip over the cap and screw in the ring again clockwise very securely with a maximum hand force as there are only few threads (4-5) holding the locking ring on the cap. Its useful to use some gripping rubber pad as the gripping surface of the locking ring very small. In case you don't have the ring, you can find it here:
