Montblanc Inner Cap Sleeve Part

Offered here is an original inner cap insert part for many Montblanc pens from the 1960s that use the Slip-on cap design. The insert is for size "2" pens, i.e. if the second number in your Montblanc model is"2", and it has a slip-on cap, this insert will work. These models include but not limited to No: 12, 22, 32, 72, 82 and other fountain pen models. These can be corroded on many caps as the side flaps are made out of thin stainless steel, and they can scratch or even crack the front grip section, hence its good idea to inspect the sleeve and replace it.

They are very easy to remove, simply unscrew the top Montblanc star crown and push down from the top with a chopstick-like tool, and the sleeve will come off. This part also contains the silicone socket in which the nib rests, which serves to isolate the nib and keep the nib wet.
