More nerdy info:
These are New Old Stock, vintage Waterman Specific cartridges used only on Waterman pen from the 60s up until 80s/90s. Somewhere around that period Waterman switched to the Standard International Cartridges used on Waterman pens today, but those Waterman pens made from the 60s up until the switch used this type of cartridge which is completely different. Made around 1990, these and are new old stock, perfectly usable today and come in a pack of 8 cartridges, the original thing made in France. These are the long/large size, but are the standard in that era Waterman pens. This is a highest quality ink, great flow, consistency and viscosity, easy to clean as its water based, does not stain the pen or react chemically with its parts if left inside even for decades. Waterman Ink is one of the best fountain pen inks in the world.

Note: These cartridges DO NOT fit newer Waterman pens made form the 1990s to present. For example, among other Waterman models, these will fit the C/F pens made in the 1960s.

Tips:
Since the thick matte cartridge plastic obstructs the view of the ink inside it, on these vintage Waterman Cartridges the user can easily determine what color is the ink inside simply by looking at the color of the back end of the cartridge, the color of this plastic seal precisely matches the color of ink inside.

Tip 2: Cartridges can be refilled, especially important with these older pen and era specific cartridges which are not produced any longer. You can refill your used cartridges from a bottled ink as long as they are not deformed or damaged especially at the nipple where good airtight fitment to the pen is needed. Simply use a medical syringe & needle and inject 1 to 1.5 ml of ink from the tip of the cartridge, i.e. from the already penetrated cartridge nipple. Do not overfill the cartridge, there should approx. 1/4 of the cartridge reservoir filled with air. Insert the needle all the way to the bottom of the cartridge. This is not always recommended or successful and it can be a messy procedure, but its worth the effort if you use your cartridge fountain pen excessively and do not have a piston or a bladder converter.
