1950s Pelikan 400NN Clip Locking Nut/Ring Crown - All models
Offered here is an original Pelikan gold filled clip locking/retaining ring/nut from the 1950's and 1960's for all models of 400NN, that is the third iteration of the 400 model. These rings won't fit model 400 or 400N, only the 400NN.
These are what we call Class A- (A minus) parts, meaning fully functional, with no bends or worn off inside thread or gold plating, they are all tested and grip the clip (screw on the cap) very securely. These are not in absolute mint/pristine condition cosmetically, but they will make your pen fully functional. Nonetheless, each ring will be thoroughly cleaned and polished prior shipping so it will look very close to new/original condition. These rings are sourced from original Pelikan 400NN pens from the 1950s and 1960s, and are original part for all Pelikan 400NN in any colors, and they also work on 400NN submodels such as 500NN, 520NN, 600NN, 700NN in all variants.
These are used to secure the clips on the 400NN caps by screwing on to the cap. You will need to place the clip over the cap and then screw in the ring again clockwise very securely with a maximum hand force as there are only few threads (4-5) holding the locking ring on the cap. Its useful to use some gripping rubber pad as the gripping surface of the locking ring is very small. In case you don't have the clip, you can find it here: Pelikan 400NN Clip
