Condition and information:
Kaweco Transparent was the new model designation for old name Helios, which were made prior WWII. This pen is made in early and mid 50's, 1952-56, was one of the best Kaweco pens at the time. These pens were build as compact, light, efficient, practical and balanced, with classic form factor, something between an old and modern, with rounded edges but still with the old familiar shape and with an extraordinary build quality. The pen unlike later models has gold filled trimmings, so no gold ware off is possible. Piston is very smooth, easy and it takes a lot of ink. This was done as Kaweco managed to minimize all the piston parts, and again they were the first on the market to do so. Later this system was adopted by other manufacturers. Very beautiful light blue ink window, crisp imprints, knurled turning knob. The nib is a semi-flexible EF extra fine, and it will write sizes F fine,  M medium, or even B broad if pressed gently. This will produce a very nice line variation on every stroke, white still very smooth and scratch free, very pleasant to write with. The pen here is in mint condition, near NOS new old stock. Great compact writing instrument in its most classic form, one of the all time classic Kaweco pens. Comes in its original presentation box and papers.
