Condition and information:
One of the best and most recognizable Caran d'Ache pens, the original Ecridor Model by Caran d'Ache. The pen also features a rare "BARLEYCORN" pattern, very delicate, made in factory by hand, very crisp complex lines, giving the pen extremely good appeal, shine and glow. The push button mechanism is very smooth, easy and precise. The inscription is located on the push button and the clip "Caran d'Ache + Swiss Made", "Fabrication Suisse". The pen also features an enamel filled red push button, not found on all Ecridor pens. Perfectly balanced writing instrument and heavy; the walls of the pen are approx. 1mm thick. Very tough pen, extremely well build, difficult to damage even if drooped, meant to last of generations. Solid metal pens like this simply glide on the paper, with great grip and perfect writing experience. Excellent near mint condition, minimal to no signs of use. The pn features a very discrete barely visible company inscription on the side "Tijan Petroleum". These early Ecridors are much rarer pens. Distinguishable by many features, but the most obvious is that these are made from Alpacca material, not steel. Alpacca is a Silver-Nickel alloy, and its superior to steel for fountain pen manufacturing. Alpacca is also known as German Silver. A timeless writing instrument by the best Swiss pen manufacturer.
