Condition and information:
The pen offered here is the highest class Kaweco pen at the time, to rival Montblanc's Masterpiece's models. It's oversize, one of the biggest Kaweco pens in the late 1960's, 135mm and posted at 158mm. Together with the design which is unique with two separate body widths, give the pen extraordinary grip, handling, balance and feel in the hand. The build quality is astonishing, its entirely made out of black resin, the signature material of Montblanc that gives the pen a unique shine. The pen design is stunning. The design incorporates the modern 60's era, with sharp edges and clean forms. Some unique features are the double cap ring which prevents crack on the cap and also the unique turning knob ring which has the same function. All trimmings are gold filled, so gold ware off is unlikely. This was the flagship pen of the new Kaweco "V" line, where "V" stands for hooded nib. It is similar to the Kaweco 36 & 37 models. The nib is super smooth M size, a true joy to write with. It has a decent flexibility, the tines to split apart when writing if pressure is applied, it will wirte B broad and BB double broad. This will produce some wonderful writing, with contact line variation on every stroke. The piston works easy and takes an enormous amount of ink, so once filled it will last for a month or more. The pen is simply quite efficient, practical, well balanced, with superb form factor, astonishing nib, and very reliable and easy to handle, with unique design and appeal, simply one of the best Kaweco pens all time. The pen is in absolute mint condition, there are no cosmetic or functional defects what so ever, 100% originally preserved.
