Condition and information:
This set are the flagship pens of the MK line, late 60's and early 70's production, the 30 Rolled Gold models. Unlike gold plate, this rolled gold will never ware off, it is meant to last. This model stands out both in quality, materials and appeal. The pens are in mint NOS new old stock condition, no scratches or marks of any kind. The nib is solid 14K gold, semi-flexible EF size, it will write F and M size, meant to be used for many writing styles. Depending on the pressure you apply it can write ticker on thinner lines. Purple ink window and logo located on top of the cap and top of the ballpoint pen, very crisp imprints and very nice guilloche lines. Piston is very smooth and takes considerable amount of ink. These MK pistons were the peak of piston technology by Pelikan. The piston in this pen has around 8 parts, unlike the old pistons made out of 3-4 moving parts. This was meant to keep the ink always in place, also to be able to be used in different pressure variations like airplanes and so on. The ballpoint pen is highest quality even by today's standards, hard to match pen both in style and endurance.  It has a push "upper body" mechanism. The lower body is tick plastic, well balanced with perfect grip and ease of use. All in all, one of the best Pelikan pen sets.  They come in original Pelikan Genuine leather black pouch shown on the last picture.
