In the rivalry of the East and West technology, it was mainly the East that looked to the west before making their own product. But this was not always the case. Garant was one on the few east Germany companies that made some amazing writing instruments, and usually with very original design. Garant was well known E. Germany pen company, to rival the most recognizable brands on the west side. It was also one of the biggest pen manufacturers in East Germany. They made some astonishing writing instruments with a know-how of the other western German brand. The pen offered here is a rare Garant Lotis. The pen has a body of thick plastic in deep black color, and gold plated trimmings. GARANT LOTIS is engraved just below the band on the body of the pen. It is a beautiful multi-color ballpoint pen so you can choose between 3 colors: red, blue and green (a set of3  new Schneider refills will be supplied with the pen). The most amazing feature are the 3 brass push knobs, which almost remind a "Steampunk" retro 18th century machine design. All 3 spring mechanisms are smooth with precision deployment. The design is just stunning in its simplicity, yet still very appealing, simply very beautiful Garant pen. The pen is in absolute mint condition, no cosmetic issues and perfectly functional.
