The Parker 45 model is one of the best pens ever made by Parker. It was their first cartridge model, one that captured the hearts and souls of the people with a modern design and versatility. The 45 model became so popular that Parker started to produce high-end luxurious variations of it. This was one of those models, baring the name "Custom Deluxe". This pen here is the first generation Parker 45, and this pen was made in UK. It features a heavy rolled gold cap with a long engraved lines, and fine "45" imprint on both sides. It has high gloss and reflection (difficult to capture in photos). The pen can be used with any ink cartridge but also with bottled ink via the bladder converter, the original one is included with the pen. The nib is superb, a true F size, solid but smooth on the paper. Its great pen to use for small typeface letters, such as writing in pockets notebooks and similar activities. It is very clean pen with steady ink flow, no ink mess, and also a very easy pen to clean and maintain. The entire front section, the nib and feed are easily removable by unscrewing action. The pen has a great grip posted or not posted due to its weight, and great balance and feel in the hand. The Parker 45, hardly any pen had or ever will surpass the stunning looks, build quality, performance, ease of use and many more factors which make for a remarkable pen. The pen is in NOS new old stock condition, never used.
