This is the 3rd generation Pelikano pens, launched in 1969. The pen is a cartridge filler, simplified but yet powerful everyday writer. The matte steel cap gives the pen a considerable weight. When posted the cap provides a great balance and makes the pen feel heavy. The Pelikano line was intended by Pelikan as the perfect entrance pen in the fountain pen world, marketed as a Student Pen, as it is a very tough pen, can take a lot of beating and difficult to damage body or nib even if dropped. It is also very simple and easy to use. However these perform so well that many are using them as their everyday fountain pens. Its very easy to clean and maintain. The nib is EF extra fine precise sharp writer, but with a soft feel as the nib flexes but the tines stay together. The solid steel nib is easy to write with, very smooth on the paper. Perfect for precision writing, or a smaller typeface letters for notebooks or similar activities. This is a Pelikan pen intended for everyday use, great build quality and problem-free pen with clean design.
