We are proud to offer this legendary Montblanc 149 pen, in pristine condition from the late 1970s to early 1980. The 149 is the ultimate Montblanc flagship pen, and it must be one of the most recognizable pen in the world, there's hardly any diplomatic/State signing without a Montblanc 149 pen. The 149 model had been around for 65+ years, launched in 1952, and has barely changed its form factor since then. There had been at least 5-6 iterations of the pen, which give clues as to when the pen was made, decade wise. The pen here bares only the stamp "Germany" on the clip, which places it in the late 1970s to early 1980s production. Made out of the best materials there are, with the ultimate craftsmanship, the 149 is proven to be one of the most reliable pens out there. It's mirror like finish reflects any light that falls on it. The thick Black Resin body and cap are amazing, the gold plate is thick and shiny, no gold wear-off is possible. The pens' form factor and size are simply imposing, stunning. The 149, the pride of Montblanc is mechanically flawless pen, piston is made out of solid brass components fitted with silicone cork, anti-corrosive, takes enormous amount of ink and works perfectly smooth. The pen is perfectly balanced even without a cap, feels right in the hand, and due to its size and weight, glides over the paper. The nib is extremely large, two tone and with some decent flex. Its rated as EF and will write up to broad B with some amount of pressure. The ebonite feed ensures a constant non-drying ink flow. Best of all is the pen's condition, perfectly preserved near NOS condition, never used, not a scratch on it, rarely found in such condition. The ultimate Montblanc pen.
