These are some of the most elegant pens made by Caran D'ache, and some of the most recognizable pens in the world, the original Madison model. The pens are made out of Alpaca, also known as the German Silver, which is a very shiny and durable metal alloy made out of Nickel and Silver.
The Madison line is still considered one of the most elegant pens ever made even though the pens were designed in the 60s.
The pens feel right in the hand, have a perfect grip and balance.
The ballpoint pen features a special twist top knob on/off mechanism, with a precise and effortless on/off action.
The mechanical pencil features a precise push button action.
The serial numbers of both pens are located on the brass thread joint section.
Aside from that brass tread joint section, both pens are made out of solid cast Alpaca. Very long, slim but also very heavy pens, which gives them a perfect grip in the hand, balance providing for a perfect writing experience.
There are deep guilloche lines in the full length of the bodies.
These are extremely tough build pens, meant to last for generations.
Both pens have a company insignia on the side "CIBA CEIGY", a famous Swiss company which only used CdA high-end pens for its marketing.
Timeless writing instruments, perfectly crafted, ones that get the attention, but also true workhorses for everyday use.
 
The pens are in NOS, never used condition, simply perfect and impossible to find in such shape and come in their original Madison presentation box with velvet lining.
