Condition and information:
The Classic Montblanc model in the early 70s, sometimes also assigned with the number "221" was build up on the 22/24 models to employ the slip on cap for fast deployment (no tread). This pen was produced in the early 70s and it has few variations, such as this cartridge model and also a piston model. This is the original model called the Classic. The pen has superb build quality, made out of black resin, and gold plated trimmings. This model features a convenient cartridge filling system, but it can also be used with a standard piston converter. The cap is a perfect fit on the body, with a distinct "click" sound when closing/opening. The Precious Black Resin, the signature Montblanc material, gives the pen a nice shine and gloss but also protection as this material is hard to scratch or damage. The pen has a very intricate feed system, very reliable with a constant and even ink flow. The nib is smooth a really nice writer with rare OM size, which can produce superb writing. The entire front section is removable simply by unscrewing it, making it easy to clean and maintain the pen. The pen is in mint condition, never restored, originally preserved with minimal signs of use. One of the most reliable Montblanc pens of the 70s, a perfect every day easy to use, trouble free Montblanc pen.
