Condition and information:
After Montblanc ended the production of the famous Monte Rosa line, they've put much of their efforts in designing similar pens that will appeal to more people and be more affordable. The 70s were the Car years in Europe, Lamborghini launched the Countach, as well as every other car maker made something out of this world; Formula 1 had its most exciting years. So same as the fascination with the Concorde Airplane in early and mid 70s, every pen maker had to make a pen to celebrate the car industry on steroids. This is when Montblanc's collaboration with Porsche came, to build a pen barring the famous car name, the Carrera. Most of these pens we entrance class pens, aimed to the younger generation. This is the second model Carrera pen, and the last before the introduction of the Turbo model. The pen is simple yet fantastic, pure form factor, based on the 3xx and the old 2xx design, but streamlined and with no extrusions. Montblanc star logo is located both on the captop and top of the body. The clip is made to resemble the alloy wheel design. The pen uses any size standard international cartridges or a piston converter. The nib is the surprise this pen holds in store. It is a solid stainless EF extra fine size, but with full flex, nearly as a 1930s Waterman flex nib. It will melt on the paper and produce any line variation. Easy to maintain and clean, the front section just unscrews and the nib can be pulled out. This is a Montblanc pen that is meant to be used on daily basis. The pen is in good condition with some signs of use, but perfectly functional.
