Launched in the early 1970s, and still in production today as Madison Second Series, Madison are some of the most elegant pens made by Caran D'ache, and some of the most recognizable pens in the world. Their recognizable trademark is the sword like shaped clip. The set offered here is the original first series Madison model, and the first we have offered with all 3 pens as a set in their original presentation box. The pens are made out of brass alloy, and are fully from tip to clip thick 24k gold plated, they simply shine. There are also fine guilloche lines in full length of the pens.The fountain pen is a simple and elegant design, with a slip-on cap for fast and easy deployment, and a click-on cap posting. It is fitted with surprisingly flexible and elongated 14K M medium nib. It glides on the paper, very smooth, and will write bigger sizes with the slight pressure applied. It will write B, BB and even 3B effortlessly. The elongated and curved nib provides great viewing space. It is easy to clean and maintain, it can be used with standard or double size cartridges as well as bottled ink as it comes with its original Cd'A converter. The ballpoint pen features a special twist top knob on/off mechanism, with a precise and effortless on/off action. It comes with its original Cd'A refill still writing and ready to be used. The mechanical pencil features a precise push button action and comes with several 0.5mm leads. The serial numbers of all pens is located on the brass thread joint section. The pens are long, slim but also heavy, which gives them a perfect grip in the hand, balance and writing experience. The set comes in NOS, never used condition, a true nearly 50 years old time capsule, perfectly preserved and impossible to find in such shape. The box also includes 2 original Cd'A cartridges as they were sold with at the time. All pens have a discrete company engraving on the side "Lauren REISS", a fashion company. Timeless writing instruments, perfectly crafted, ones that gets the attention, but also a true workhorses for everyday use.
