Condition and information:
One of the rarest and best Pelikan Silvexa pens, the model P488. The build quality is astonishing, this is a pen meat to last for generations. It's all over thick solid steel, which in some Pelikan catalogues was marketed as the whole pen being white gold plated. It certainly looks like that, very shiny, but since its brushed we cannot confirm that. The finish is deeply brushed which gives the pen great appeal and great texture feel in the hand which provides for a perfect grip. Due to its weight, it has a great balance, feel in the hand either posted or not, a perfectly balanced pen. It's a cartridge filler easy and convenient to use on daily basis but it can also be used with any standard ink piston converter. This also means its super easy to clean and maintain and the front section completely unscrews and even the nib can be easily pulled out. It features a very nice and rare, semi-flexible soft OB oblique broad nib, which will produce amazing writing as only oblique nibs can. Even without a flex, simply by changing the writing angle slightly while writing, or simply rotating the pen slightly, the OB nib will produce various thickness lines, from very thin to extra wide. This produces some awesome writing results. Simple but unique and amazing writing experience. The pen is in absolute mint condition, not scratches or anything similar. Pelikan logo located on top of the cap. Clear see through purple ink window. The Silvexa line is one of the top Pelikan lines of the 70s, meant to endure the hardest work for years.
