This is the 4th generation Pelikano pens, launched in 1973. The pen is a cartridge filler, simplified but yet powerful everyday writer. The matte steel cap gives the pen a considerable weight. When posted the cap provides a great balance and makes the pen feel heavy. The Pelikano line was intended by Pelikan as the perfect entrance pen in the fountain pen world. These pens are targeted for student pen, due to it rigidity, built quality and ease of use. However these perform so well that many are using them as their everyday fountain pens. Its very easy to clean and maintain. The nib is EF extra fine precise sharp writer, but with a soft feel as the nib flexes but the tines stay together. The solid steel nib is hard to damage even if dropped and easy to write with, very smooth on the paper. Perfect for precision writing, or a smaller typeface letters for notebooks or similar activities. This is a Pelikan pen intended for everyday use, great build quality and problem-free pen with clean design.
