This is the second generation Montblanc Noblesse pens, which are step up from the original Noblesse. The second generations pens are slightly larger and also have a pronounced crown on the top with much larger logo. The pen here is one of the flagship pens of the line at the time, made entirely out of Alpaca, also known as German Silver. The pen simply shines, difficult to capture in photos. It has a smooth and precise twist on/off mechanism. The clip is spring suspending on the body, and can extend quite a bit, so it will fit easily in any pocked fabric, even over a hardcover notebook easily. There is a rare "MONT BLANC GERMANY " inscription under the clip, and these were one of the first Montblanc pens to have hidden marks so protect against counterfeiters. Another very rare and great feature about this pen, is that unlike other Montbalanc pens, this pen can take standard international refills. This is very convenient and more importantly un-costly, as the standard international refills are affordable and easy to come by. Noblesse Oblige pens are one of the most reliable and durable Montblanc pens ever build with the highest quality possible. Due to it's weight and size the pen feels good in the hand, solid and heavy. These were build to last, they are a true generational pens, nearly impossible to damage even if dropped. Large Montblanc star is located on the top, and there's a company insignia on the clip. The pen is in mint condition with minimal signs of use. The name comes from French: Noblesse Oblige - "Nobility Obliges".
