This is one of the last pens made by Pelikan to bare the insignia W. (West) Germany, and these were made right before the fall of the Berlin Wall and the reunification of Germany. These pens even today are considered indestructible, made for the students and meant to take a lot of damage and misuse and still function, which is rare for any fountain pen. This particular model is considered to be the 6th generation Pelikano model with body ink windows where one can read the level of the ink in the cartridge. The pen is in absolute NOS new old stock never used condition, still with its original box and sticker. The Pelikano line is a perfect entrance pen in the fountain pen world. The pen can take any ink cartridge and even some ink converters, so its always ready to be used. Its also very easy to clean and maintain and features a very easy to remove nib, simply by pulling it out with the fingernails and replacing it with any nib of this shape. The nib is F/A grade, F stands for fine and A stands for entrance student model nib (hard to damage even if dropped) and easy to write with at almost any angle. This nib produces a constant fine line, not wet and very precise, good to write with in notebooks or use for some precise writing. Great build quality with steel matte finished cap, simply indestructible pen. A everyday problem-free Pelikan pen.
