This is one of the most famous Hero pens manufactured in the Shanghai pen factory in the 1990s which is considered to be the era of manufacturing high end writing instruments only made by top quality materials. The pens from this era and the ones from the 1970s have proven to be more durable in comparison to current models which are more prone to defects.
The pen is crafted in high grade plastic in beautiful turquoise blue color that physically protects the pen since it is more resistant to cracking and scratching. The cap features nice crisp engravings that read “Hero 100”, “Made in China”, as well as the Hero branding logo.
This pen is one of the most famous models made in the Chinese pen manufacturing since it is obviously derived from the famous 61, and 51 models in the exterior.
It is no secret that many western companies were in the run of recreating the best version of that model and this sure is a nice retake with some other nice features on the plus side. It features a spring loaded clip which features great flexibility and it won’t bend when being pulled or put over a thick fabric of coat or a notebook cover.

The pen uses a aerometric squeeze filling system which is easy to use and draws a good amount of ink and will be perfect for long writing sessions without worries.
It is fitted with an F size smooth hooded nib, the nib tip is crafted in 14K Gold. The pen simply glides on the paper providing for a great writing experience.
The hooded nib prevents the ink from drying out even if the fountain pen is sometimes left open, it also contributes for better physical protection.
The pen features a metal pull off cap which posts very deeply and securely giving the pen longer length and balance due to its substantial weight.
