Condition and information:
A fantastic Waterman Gentleman fountain and ballpoint pen set from the 90s. The Gentleman pens are large, with simple yet very elegant form, strait and sharp edges. These pens were made since the early 1990s, and the set offered here is approximately from that era. The pens are very heavy, made out of metal and with a thick lacquer finish. The color is very dark maroon red, close to brown. All exposed metal parts are 21K gold plated. The pens are ergonomically near perfect, heavy and with nice balance and feel in the hand. The fountain pen features a 18K 750 solid gold nib, which is very smooth on the paper, never used, and it will quickly adapt to the new user's style of writing. It can use standard cartridges, (we will supply a pack of 6 genuine Waterman cartridges for free), but it can be also used with a converter, hence very convenient and easy to use and clean pen. The nib is soft, it has some small flex to it, so it does not feel stiff, some line variation can be produced if pressure is applied while writing. It feels very balanced and nice in the hand especially when posted due to its size and weight. It features a slip on cap for fast deployment. Posting the cap makes the pen nearly 160mm which is oversize by any standards. The ballpoint pen is a smooth twist on/off mechanism, very precise and responsive. It comes with its original refill, plus one new refill which we will include for free. The pens are in near NOS condition, never used just stored and come in their presentation original box.
