Offered here is one of Parker's best ever pens, the Mandarin Yellow limited edition made in 1995 to celebrate its original Mandarin (Chinese) Yellow from the 1920's. The pen is made on 10000 units only, and this pen is limited edition No. 5003. Besides the astonishing look and feel, these are some of the best pens ever made by Parker. Simply holding the pen gives the feeling of the utmost precision manufacturing made to last for eternity. This model was made and based on Parker's Centennial line that started its life back in 1988 to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of the Parker company. This is also known as the peak of Parker's manufacturing in USA, before closing the plant few years later. Thus this is a true masterpiece and memorabilia of the Parker Pen company in USA. This pen must be one of the most beautiful Duofolds ever made. It has a unbelievably bright yellow color also known as Chinese Yellow. It is a very big pen, heavy, with a very thick resin walls which can never crack even if the pen is dropped. 3 anti-crack rings hold the cap together, all black parts are very shiny and strong black resin. These were among the first Parker pens to be produced with very high precision machines, and the result is visible. The pen simply stands out in quality, as soon as its held it gives feel and impression like no fountain pen before. Its perfectly balanced with a thick grip section. The pen is oversize when posted at full 173mm, rarely a pen posted has such length. The nib is oversize, elongated and wide, huge 18K 750 gold, M size, very very smooth on the paper with constant ink-flow and fine writing, it even has a slight flexibility so it will write wider lines if pressed gently. All metal parts are gold filled, and the section and body joint ring is solid 18K 750 gold. It can use any standard ink converter or a standard cartridge, converter is included. Very easy to clean and maintain, just unscrew the section and wash with tap water prior storage. The pen is in near NOS condition, used only for testing, there are no signs of use, no gold ware of, no scratches, a perfect condition. It comes with its original box, but the box is missing its circle badge and papers. All in all, simply a superb pen, one of the best ever produced by Parker, unbelievable quality, looks and feel, endurance, design and performance. Everything a great pen should be. Most importantly this is a pen that will constantly gain value, as its one of the last Parker limited editions made in USA.
