Offered here is the second edition of the M150, redesigned in 1997. This particular pen was made in 2003-2004. The M100-200 series was first introduced in the early 1980, ushering Pelikan in a new era after the fall of the Berlin Wall. Much of the pen design had changed, and much of the conventional wisdom in engineering would change as well but always based on the best know-how and quality as only Pelikan can make.

The pen is superb in any way, perfect writer, perfect feel in the hand, grip and extremely well balanced, with beautiful grey ink window; smooth piston taking the design from the earlier Pelikan pens. Even though it is a compact pen at ~121mm, it does not feel as such, it feels nice in the hand, and even better when posted. The M series pens were the replacement pen of the Pelikan 120/140/400 models, having their DNA. Pelikan decided that the true low cost fountain pen DNA such as the 120 model is the way to go, even in the 80s and ever since, proven by the launch of the new Pelikan 120 model just a year ago. This M line with a black ring crown is basically a combination of a vintage 400 and 120 pens. The cap's crown, the clip and entire pen form factor are very similar to the 400 series, while the colors and materials are the ones from the vintage 120 pen. The highly processed plastic resin material gives it a perfect shine and gloss. The nib is steel with gold plate, M Medium but it does not feel stiff, producing wonderful writing, great for long and demanding work on any paper.  The pen is in mint condition with minimal to no signs of use, crisp imprints on the ring, nib and best of all, the golden logo inlay on to.
