Condition and information:
Launched in 1991, these pens were paying homage to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, to commemorate 200 years of his death. This is one of the few Montblanc pen models that unconventionally in Montblanc nomenclature, pays homage to a specific historic person but it is not a limited edition pen. There are several iterations of this model marked as limited edition Mozart pens, made from different materials, but its size and form factor stay the same, but all of those came much later. In fact this pen is still sold as Mozart pen but only as the platinum plated model, this gold version was discontinued in 2017 or 2018. Furthermore, sometimes only the boxes in these pens would sell would bare a special Mozart presentation box, as do limited editions do, but more often they would be sold in just a regular  off-the-shelf Montblanc box.

These are one of the smallest pens ever made by Montblanc, with exception of several pencils made in the 1920s which were still smaller. The pens have the same form factor as all of the Classic Meisterstuck models, just everything is very tiny. All metal parts are gold filled, thick gold plated, so gold wear off is unlikely. And even though tiny the pens are perfectly usable even as a daily writers and feel fine in the hand, especially the fountain pen when posted. The pencil even though small, it has a 0.7mm leads, so its a nice drafting and drawing pencil. The fountain pen features a 1 step (pitch) large cap thread/spiral, thus the cap takes only one rotation to screw onto the pen. The same thread is located on the top of the barrel (blind cap) and its used for posting the cap on by screwing the cap on. Hence it is here where many of these pens were broken, when people would forget its a screw-on posted cap and pull the cap instead of unscrewing it, (and pull out the cap's inner sleeve out). Unlike many other Montblanc pens, this fountain pen has a lacquered metal barrel (only the blind-cap is black resin), for giving the pen an additional weight. We believe later models had their barrels made out of black resin too. The pen can take a standard size ink cartridge, but also some smaller ink converters will work on it. It is a nice pen and it writes beautifully. The nib is smooth, M size and glides on the paper, it is even a wetter than usual nib. The mechanical pencils features a solid metal mechanism, which gives is a nice solid weight, but also its long enough to rest right in the hand. It is a precise and smooth twist on mechanism. Both pens are of the utmost build quality deserving the Meisterstuck name, same as all of their bigger counterparts with timeless classic design and made with the best materials possible. Both pens are in NOS never used condition and come in a Montblanc presentation box. On the last photo the pens are shown next to a standard size Montblanc 163 pen for size comparison/reference.
