Introduced in 2000, the Parker International Black PT Platinum model was the new companion of the Black GT which had the gold plated trims. The Parker International model started their life back in 1987 to be released in 1988 to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of the Parker company. The International model was introduced a year later in 1989 to complement and eventually replace the Centennial, the difference was that it was just slightly smaller pen, but nearly identical in design as the Centennial model. This, the Black PT model was the classic pen with minimalist design following the original Dufold models of the 1930s. The pen is made out of acrylic black resin, giving it a unique deep shine and gloss. The trimmings are platinum plated as well as the leaf logo on top of the cap. These were among the first Parker pens to be produced with super high precision machines, and hundreds of steps and parts involved, and the result is visible. The pen simply stands out in quality, as soon as its held it gives feel and impression like no fountain pen before. Its perfectly balanced with a great grip and feel. The pen is oversize when posted at full 165mm, rarely a pen posted has such length. The nib is oversize, huge, 18K 750 gold, F fine size, very very smooth on the paper with constant ink-flow and fine writing. This is extremely easy pen to use any maintain. Easy to disassemble and clean. It can use any standard ink converter or a standard cartridge; original Parker converter is included. The pen is in perfect mint condition, no signs of use, no cracks, no gold ware of, no scratches, a perfect condition. Simply a superb pen, one of the best ever produced by Parker, unbelievable quality, looks and feel, endurance, design and performance. Everything a great fountain pen should be.
