This is the second generation Noblesse series made in late 80's and early 90's, with a stunning 24K thick gold plating (not electroplated) and deep Godron guilloche lines. The Noblesse pens are some of the most reliable Montblanc pens ever build, easy to use and handle, with no moving parts and great feel and balance due to the heavy weight. This model is the flagship luxurious version of the time. The pen is in mint condition near NOS new old stock, perfectly preserved. This Montblanc Noblesse Oblige pen is made out of thick, high grade stainless steel and finished with thick gold plate. These are so well build, they are nearly impossible to damage, they are considered a true generational pens, meant to last, entirely made out of thick steel, it is virtually impossible to damage, ding, scratch or break, even if dropped. The pen features the distinct Noblesse "click" sound when closing the cap, perfect fit cap on body. Montblanc stars logos are located on top of the barrel and cap. These are one of the biggest Montblanc pens at almost 140mm, slim and elongated. The nib is extremely precise writer, F fine to EF extra fine size solid 585 14K gold, large and elongate, very smooth on the paper and very easy writer. The pen can take any cartridge, or a piston converter, easy to use and fill, as well as to maintain. The name comes from French: Noblesse Oblige - "Nobility Obliges".
