An amazing pen made by Diplomat Germany by the order of Camel Adventure Product series, which also included wristwatches, special tools and similar items. The pen is truly amazing with emphasis placed on durability made by tough materials meant to be used in tough conditions. It is made out of thick heavy metal, presumably steel alloy and finished in matt silver. It weighs 44gr. which is considerable for such a compact pen.

From the manual:  "The Camel Trophy Adventure Pen is made out of precisely manufactured solid metal parts which can withstand even the hardest wear... Due to the completely retractable tip, your Camel Adventure pen is protected against damage or dirt."

The entire pen can be disassembled to all of its constituent parts and a "how to" disassembly guide can be found in the manual that comes with the pen. On top of that the pen is originally fitted with a pressurized 5 bar Fisher Space Pen refill made in the USA, which no matter what will always write. Unlike regular ballpoint pen refills, these Fisher pressurized refills require much less pressure when writing, and will even write on some non-paper surfaces, as the ball tip has much less resistance to start rotating inside its tip enclosure, the writing is much smoother comparable to a rollerball pen. The ball tip is made out of "Extremely Hard Wolfram-carbide". The pen sits nicely in the hand, and even though compact, due to its weight it does not tire the hand. The knurled grip section and twist section, make the writing and turning it on/off nice and pleasant.

The pen features a twist on/off mechanism where the entire front section including the cone section extrude out from the pen, similar to those vintage Safety fountain pens. This means that once closed, the pen is simply a metal juggernaut cylinder meant to take any punishment one can throw at it. The pen comes with two addons which can be easily fitted on it, a clip for a pocket or a keychain for a carabiner. All of this comes in a nice presentation package, that is a high-quality nicely made metal "suitcase" like box which we believe represents a vintage toolbox, and it comes in its original carton box. And there is one final "Easter egg", the yellow/green Camel Trophy Adventure Pens lining on the inside of the box, is actually a high quality large PVC sticker!
