One of Italy's best pen manufacturers, Aurora, and here is one of the their most beautiful models, the Hastil fountain pen made out of 925 sterling silver, near mirror shine difficult to capture on photos. This pen was designed by the famous Italian architect Marco Zanuso in the late 1970's, to bring new life in the Aurora lines, replacing the 88's, 98s and other models. Its amazing to see such a pen design, very brave, very unique, very futuristic. To this day, its still modern and unique. This pen is now even in the museum of Modern Art in NYC, celebrating the famous industrial designer and architect who designed it. Due to its popularity this model stayed in production for decades. The pen has almost aero-space appeal to it. Strait perfect form factor with unique low profile brushed silver clip that is actually spring loaded in the cap, so it extends quite high. Also the cap is posted on the back of the barrel on two spring loaded lugs, which actually make a "click sound" when the cap is removed, this is the only pen that has this feature. The pen has a unique feel in the hand, just the right weight, handling and grip. The grip is awesome due to the very fine knurled grip section, feels as holding a fabric material. Made in the famous Tiffany Cicele squared checkered pattern, but much finer then the one on the Parker 75 pen, very stylish, modern, simply beautiful. The nib is smooth, precise EF solid 14K white gold to match the silver appeal of the pen, great for clean non-messy writing in small typeface such as notebooks. The pen can use any standard cartridge or a piston converter. Very convenient and easy to clean and maintain. Definitely one of the most beautiful Aurora pens and a great everyday pen, ready to take on any job, trouble free pen made to last for decades. The pen is in mint condition with minimal to no signs of use.
