This is the famous Pelikan Silvexa line, a class up from the MK line. The Silvexa line is considered as a very solid line of pens made with stronger materials and solid gold nibs. This Pelikan 20 Silvexa is remarkable example of the 1970s pen design, features and reliability. The body of this pen is made of shiny, high quality black resin, difficult to scratch or damage, and the cap is made out of solid steel, matte finished. The logo of the company is located at the top of the cap, "Pelikan Silvexa 20 Germany" is inscribed on the cap. The pen features a semi-hooded solid 14K 585 gold nib, EF extra fine nib, but with a semi flexibility which is not common for these types of pens. The pen will write thicker lines with a slight push while writing. The nib is very precise, producing exact EF line, perfect for writing in notebooks and small letters typeface. Constant and smooth ink flow, no skipping. The pen looks modern even after decades since it was launched. Beautiful transparent purple ink window, so the user will always read the ink level. This pen features the well known Pelikan piston filling system, same as on the the MK series, one of the most complex piston mechanisms. The pen is in absolute mint condition no scratches or other cosmetic issues, near NOS condition.
