Waterman L'Étalon is a rare beauty. This pen is second to none, it is identical as the L'Étalon fountain pen exactly in size and design.
The L'Elaton is considered by many pen lovers as one of the best modern Waterman pens, both in design and construction. It features a pure and harmonious design, with uniquely rich appearance with its stunning 23K gold plated mid and tip sections and its clip and crown. This pen has that amazing deep vintage burgundy finish, giving that unique vintage look & appeal.
The hexagon insert on the band is also lacquer and it represents just the outline of the modern Waterman logo W which is enclosed in a hexagon.

It has a nice distinct "click" when opening or closing the cap, super precise. The cap can be posted, but since this is such a heavy pen it is not necessary.
This is very large pen, it can be considered oversize, very thick at the section and mid point at full 13mm.
Even putting it on the desk makes a loud sound as its very heavy. All trimmings are 23.3K gold plated; clip, ring, front and rear tip & crown.
The lacquer finish is thick, protects the pen from scratches and shines.
The pen uses Waterman rolerball refill and the original one is included, it may be depleted soon but it can be used for future purchase reference.

The pen is in mint condition with minimal signs of use and couple of micro-scratches but barely visible. Extraordinary Waterman pen in every respect.
