The Montblanc Platinum Classique model is one of the flagship Montblanc pens. The pen embodies everything Montblanc stands for, superior quality, stunning timeless design and reliability. This pen draws its roots from the famous 50's 144 pens and the bigger 146, 149, and the smaller 142. Many collectors will say that these pens are probably the best in the world, with amazing timeless form factor and performance. The pen is made out of precious black resin, super shiny and also scratch resistant. The pen fits perfectly in the hand, with amazing writing balance and grip. The pen has a steel base, covered with black resin, which makes it heavy and provides for a good grip, feel and balance, but also a great protection from cracks or damage. The nib is amazing, it is a flexible F size, very smooth and very precise, and it will write all bigger sizes, M, B and even BB (double broad) if pressed gently while writing. Flexible nibs which are just so wonderful to write with. The pen is in new pre-owned but never used condition, and comes with its original box and papers and its original gold plated piston converter. The cap bares inscription in Chinese, inlaid with silver color, which actually looks fantastic on the pen. A true Montblanc Masterpiece pen, simply the perfect fountain pen.
