Offered here is the so called Entrance Imperial model 440 Sheaffer pen. The pen was a cheaper entrance model of the more expensive Imperial and PFM pens, but it offered a same design and form factor as those pens, as well as the unique nib shape. This is still one of the best, the most endurable and reliable Sheaffer pens, very simple to use and maintain. These pens are a high build quality, the pen features a black barrel and grip section with a solid steel matte cap for great protection. This cap features the so called "short clip" version. The cap gives the pen a great writing balance when posted due to its weight, it makes it easy to write it. The pen is in NOS new old stock never used condition, still with its model and nib size sticker. The pen can be used with any Sheaffer standard converter, widely available today, or any Sheaffer standard cartridge, so quite versatile and easy to use. The nib is solid steel, F precise fine size, smooth writing nib and great for long and demanding work where one needs not to care about the condition of the nib. This nib is almost impossible to damage, it is very stiff and the way its embedded in to the body, aside the appeal gives it much more rigidity. Overall this is a great fountain pen which will perform flawlessly as an workhorse everyday fountain pen.
