Offered here is the Imperial model 440 Sheaffer pen, a very popular and reliable pen, with the famous inlaid nib. The pen was the mid model range of the more expensive Imperial and PFM pens, but it offered the same design and form factor, as well as the unique embedded nib shape. This is one of the best, the most durable and reliable Sheaffer pens, very simple to use and maintain. These pens are of a high build quality, the pen features a black resin barrel and grip section with a solid steel radially brushed matte cap for great protection. This cap features the "short clip" version. The cap gives the pen a great writing balance when posted due to its weight, it makes it easy to write it. 

The fountain pen comes with its original ink converter, but it can also be used with any Sheaffer standard cartridges, so it is quite versatile and easy to use. The nib is solid steel, M Medium but precise fine size, smooth writing nib and great for long and demanding work where one needs reliability and consistency. The nib is embedded in the front section and fully exposed, following the shape of the pen. Only Sheaffer makes such nibs, unique designs. This nib is almost impossible to damage, it is very stiff and aside the appeal gives it much more rigidity.

The fountain pen is accompanied by the ballpoint pen, with its unique Sheaffer patented clip design, which deploys the refill by pressing the clip inside the pen. This very clever and convenient feature is meant to prevent the pen being placed/hanged inside the pocket unless it's turned off, and thus prevent staining the pocket with ink. The system was called Sheaffer Reminder ballpoint pen with a "clickable clip" introduced in the 1960s.

The set is in NOS never used condition, comes in its original box with papers and extra refill and cartridges.
