Condition and information:
This is rare Geha model, a submodel of the piston filler 720, this one its cartridge brother the model 720 in a matte brushed finish stainless steel, with a very nice vintage appeal light grey section and clip. The Geha pens, made in Geha-Werke Hannover, as all German pen manufacturers are of amazing build quality which is simply tangible. The precision of craftsmanship and the way the pen feels, the way the parts fit together, is one at the utmost quality. The pen here comes in NOS, never used condition, still with its original box and the model and nib number on it. The pen features a slip on cap, great for fast deployment and easy handling. There are many unique features on this pen not found on other German pens, starting from the feed, to a semi-enclosed straight wing nib with a great viewing space. The nib is large and its very good smooth writer. It's a special OM grind, oblique medium and can produce amazon writing. Oblique nibs can write a good line variation even without flex, as the nib will change its line thickness on every stroke. One other rarely seen feature is the cartridge separator/holder/stacker. This is a metal insert inside the pen that allows for the user to place two cartridges in the barrel. One way is to have the two cartridges penetrate each other, this was only possible with the Geha cartridges, which had a penetrable slot on the back of the cartridge too, so in a way make a stack or "train" of two cartridges. The other way to put them was simply facing in opposite direction. When one cartridge is emptied the set is tuner other way around and the second cartridge is used. This holder/separator is very smart and convenient solution to the cartridge filler pens problems, that is that if people keep their reserve cartridge in the barrel as they usually do, the reserve cartridge can become stuck in the barrel and its extremely difficult to take it out. The pen is highly ergonomic, perfect length and thickness, very good grip and feel in the hand, considerable weight. Extremely well build, beautiful pen, meant to last and endure hard work for years. The pen bares a discrete company brading FAG on the side of the cap.
