By the renewed Paper Mate company comes this amazing vintage fountain, ballpoint pen, and mechanical pencil set. The Paper Mate company goes under the Newell brands which are also sometimes referred to as Sanford Brands, together with brands such as Rotring, Parker, Waterman, Sharpie, and many others.
The pens are crafted in solid black matte finished metal construction with gold plated trimmings. These high-quality materials contribute for sturdy everyday pens since they offer physical protection of the pens. The distinctive Paper Mate logo with the two hearts stands proudly located on the clips of the pens.
The black and gold combination is timeless and gives the pens an elegant style that is simply gorgeous.
The clips feature discrete “Stenorol” and “Decis” company insignia inscriptions.

The midsection bands of the ballpoint pen and the mechanical pencil feature nice crisp engravings that read “Paper Mate” and “USA”, whereas the fountain pen, is engraved with “Paper Mate” and “W. Germany”. Looking back on history pens made from the 1970s to the late 1980s were marked with “W. Germany”, while post-1989 (with the unification of Germany), were marked with “Germany'' imprints. During our research and analyzing the fountain pen we came to a conclusion that most probably this model was made by the Reform company during the ’80s since the front section and nib section are very alike (almost identical) on this model and the ones made by the Reform company from that period. It also may be the case that the Reform and Paper Mate companies may had their nibs made by some other third company.

The fountain pen can be used both with standard international cartridges or a converter if the user wants to fill the pen directly from an ink bottle. We will include a cartridge that contains a substantial amount of ink for long writing sessions with no worries.
The pen is fitted with an M medium-sized steel gold plated nib which feels soft on the paper creating beautiful writing with constant ink flow. The nib features nice crisp engravings with the company logo and the size of the nib. The pen features a slip on-off cap with a distinct click sound, posting the cap provides for a longer length and balance of the pen while writing making it an oversize at 155mm.
The ballpoint pen is fitted with a Paper Mate Deluxe Powerpoint Ballpoint Refills which is easy to change and readily available since the size matches the one of the standard international G1 size refills. It comes together with its original refill in blue color plus ready to be used right away. We will also include a new Schneider 575 M refill for free. The pen is a great writing instrument creating bold and clear lines when writing. It features a precise push-button mechanism and the metal button has a lot of resistance when being pushed.
The pencil takes 0,5mm leads and several leads are included. The leads can be extracted through the push-button mechanism which is very responsive and easy to use. The pencil features an eraser which is located under the push-button cap. The pencil produces neat writing and it’s also suitable for technical drawing producing lines of constant width.
