The Sonnet line was designed as a request of the Parker Company for a fresh model that will exceed the success of the Parker 75 model which was by then their unmatched bestseller. The line was designed by chief designer Geoff Hollington and it came in more than 18 finishes. After the Dimonite G and some improvements in the Laque Forest Green, the Laque Midnight Blue and the Matte Black came the Flighter GT and Flighter CT models.

The pen follows a classic cigar shape which at first glance looks simple yet very powerful. A nice touch is added with the black final at the top of the pen giving it an elegant appeal.

The midsection ring features nice crisp engravings that read “Parker Sonnet” and “France”. The polished steel gives an elegant look to the pen, and it does not show fingerprints on the surface. The pen features a mid-body twist on/off mechanism which is very precise and responsive with a solid lock.
