Offered here are some of the most beautiful and reliable Pelikan pens of the 60s. Because of the more refined materials, these pens are considered to be a class up from the MK10/ MK20 lines. The bodies of the pens are crafted in the recognizable black shiny resin and 14K rolled gold metal parts. The cap of the fountain pen features nice crisp imprints that read “Pelikan MK30”, and “Germany”. And the mechanical pencil is nicely engraved with “Pelikan 30” and “Germany” on the midsection band. As opposed to gold plate the rolled gold is much thicker and won’t wear off, it is built to last. These pens are the perfect combination of smart engineering, quality materials, and appealing design. The fountain pen is decorated with the recognizable Pelican logo on top of the cap.

The fountain pen is fitted with a very nice and precise EF (extra fine) 14K solid gold nib. This nib is great for clean and precise writing, such as notebook writing with any typeface, smooth on the paper. It has a constant ink flow with no excess ink, very clean pen to write with. It features a beautiful clear see-through purple ink window and a smooth piston. This piston system is one of the best ones invented by Pelikan, consisting of 8 parts, takes a considerable amount of ink and it was marketed as Airplane safe as it did not leak ink in different pressure variations. This was achieved by a special feed system and also almost airtight cap top body fit. The pen is well balanced with perfect grip and feel in the hand.

The mechanical pencil features a push-button mechanism which is very reliable and convenient to use. The solid brass components make it durable and contribute to a substantial weight and balance of the pencil. The pencil uses 1.18mm leads which are still widely available today, we will include several leads so the pencil can be used right away. The lead can be deployed up to 5 mm in front of the tip, so it provides a good viewing space and better drawing/writing precision. These pencils are still hard to match even by today's standards, with a timeless classic design. It follows a slim elegant silhouette with a well-balanced point. The pencil fits comfortably in the hand and it's very practical for everyday use.
