Pelikan 450, 1.18mm Repeater Mechanical Pencil

This is the first production of the original legendary Pelikan 450 mechanical pencil, made in the mid 1950s, one of the best build quality pencils of all time. This is a more rare variant, all black version, usually made and sold for export as there were not many all black Pelikan 400 fountain pens to match it with. Extremely well build, tough mechanical brass components, meant to last. Great looks with gold filled metal parts that won't ware out as gold plated can do. Great feel in the hand, very heavy and thick, great handling, balance and writing experience. The pencil uses 1.18 leads, and it has precision push button solid brass mechanism. With such thick lead refills the refill can be deployed 2-3mm out from the tip, which provides the user with a better viewing space and precision while drawing or writing. 128mm in length; the overall body is thick black cellulose. The pencil has a discrete imprinted logo on the side of the upper body. These are still one of the best Pelikan pencils all time unmatched in quality, ergonomics and performance.
