This is a very special and rare Kaweco pencil, made in the early 1950s. Elite was Kaweco’s top line product during this time. After the Helios and Dia special lines, the flagship pens were named Kaweco Elite. A quality celluloid construction is the basis for this pencil. Celluloid has a pleasingly warm feel in the hand, and is a preferred pen component for many collectors. Pencil features gold filled trimmings, along with a special texture pattern, rhomboid-shaped. The pencil features a turning spiral which retracts or deploys the lead refill. Solid brass components ensure a lifetime trouble free usability, still hard to match even with today manufacturing standards. When made the Elite line by Kaweco came with lifetime warranty. Pencil is in absolute mint condition, near NOS, comes in its original presentation box.
