Condition and information:
Very unique Kaweco pen, a special model V14S, where "V" stands for the semi hooded nib and "S" stands for the steel cap. The pen features a solid 14K 585 gold nib EF extra fine size, very smooth on the paper and very precise. The nib is also very soft, flexing considerably but as on many such amazing vintage Kaweco nibs, the tines do not split apart excessively, only enough to provide some good line variation. The pen is based on the famous Kaweco 36 and 37 models, designed with two separate body widths, giving the pen great grip, handling, balance and feel in the hand. These pens were the best, flagship Kaweco pens at the time, to rival Montblanc's Masterpiece series as well as some Pelikan pens. The build quality is astonishing, its entirely made out of black resin, material that gives the pen a unique shine, but which also has a scratch protective properties. This is the best material to make pens from, as it does not scratch easily and always shines. This pen features a solid stainless steel matte finished cap for best protection and gives the pen additional balance when its posted. The piston is smooth and takes a good amount of ink, with nice blue ink windows. The pen is absolute mint condition, no scratches or marks of any kind, originally preserved. A truly rare, unique pen and amazing writing experience.
