Very unique Kaweco pen, a special model V14S, where "V" stands for the semi hooded nib and "S" stands for the steel cap. The pen features a solid 14K 585 gold nib F fine size, very smooth on the paper and very precise. This nib is perfect for precision letters typeface, such as writing in small notebooks or even technical drawing and sketching. The pen is based on the famous Kaweco 36 and 37 models, designed with two separate body widths, giving the pen great grip, handling, balance and feel in the hand. These pens were the best, flagship Kaweco pens at the time, to rival Montblanc's Masterpiece series as well as some Pelikan pens. The build quality is astonishing, its entirely made out of black resin, the signature material of Montblanc, material that gives the pen a unique shine, but which also has a scratch protective properties. This is the best material to make pens from, as it does not scratch easily and always shines. This pen features a solid stainless steel matte finished cap for best protection and gives the pen additional balance when its posted. The nib is super smooth with constant fine line, very clean pen with no excess ink. The piston reservoir is smooth and takes a good amount of ink, with nice blue ink windows. The pen is absolute mint condition, near NOS, no scratches or marks of any kind, originally preserved. A truly rare, unique pen and amazing writing experience.

Not a Vintage Lover, but...This Changed My Mind
Review by Waski the Squirrel on 5/9/2016I have never had any interest in vintage pens, so I can't explain this purchase except that I like modern Kaweco pens. This pen turned out to be a good one for changing my mind. It was in fairly good condition. The only hint that it wasn't new was that some paint was missing in the engraving on the barrel. It was shiny and operated like new.
The pen itself has a semi-hooded nib. It writes smoothly but without much line variation. The tipping on the pen is a bit odd looking: I thought it might be damaged. But it does write very well, so I suspect I'm just not used to its appearance. It writes a very fine line and starts reliably every time.
It is a very shiny pen and has no microscratches. It just looks good and fits well in the hand. I would like to see Kaweco return to pens like this.
